Recruiting from BYU AIChE
Each year we have hard-working and talented chemical engineers who
are excited to take their knowledge and experience from school
and apply themselves in industry. We want to make sure that you
find the future employees that you came to hire and to do that
we plan and organize events that allow you to interact with our
club members in a variety of settings from formal dinners, to
casual bowling socials.
Below is a list of recruiting events that we hold each year. If you would like
to be involved with any of these events or would like to work
with us in organizing an event of your own at BYU, please reach
out to our VP of External Relations.
Annual Recruiting Events
Fall Career Fair Week
Breakfast workshops and resume reviews | Tuesday
- A great opportunity to interact with students in a casual setting and meet students who are serious about their careers. It is also an opportunity for our students to learn from you through resume reviews and workshops.
- Resume reviews are a great way for our students to get feedback about how they present themselves and also allows you to get to know our students better.
- We want to invite you to present a workshop to our students on one of the following topics:
- Finding Jobs and Internships Outside of Career Fairs
- Resume Building Tips
- Interviewing Tips and Techniques
- Making the Best Impression in 10 Minutes
- What to Look for in a Company
- Lessons Learned by a Young Engineer
- What to do on a Site Visit
- Things to Consider when Evaluating an Offer
- How to Determine “Fit”
- Behavioral Interviewing
Rotational dinner | Wednesday
- The rotational dinner is one of our club members favorite recruiting activities. It is a formal dinner where recruiters rotate tables so they can interact with many students. It is a great opportunity to get to know our students in a more formal setting.
- If possible, we ask that recruiters make a small donation to help with the cost of the event and to minimize the cost for students.
Bowling social for Freshmen and Sophomores | Friday
- This is an event exclusively for Sophomores and Freshmen. They are the up and coming chemical engineers and it can give you a head start in the recruiting process for these students when they are juniors and seniors.
- If possible, we ask that recruiters make a small donation to help with the cost of the event and to minimize the cost for students.
